Prerequisite for the long-term survival of the implants is their care by applying excellent oral hygiene, such as that of natural teeth. The purpose of daily oral hygiene is to remove the microbial plaque, which could cause inflammation around the implants (perimplantitis) and is done with the correct use of the toothbrush, interdental microbrushes, special flosses and waterpicks that will be prescribed to you.
Periodically, a visit to the dentist will be required to clinically and radiographically check the health of implants and prosthetic work on them.
